About us

Authority Car Care was founded in 2022 by our owner/operator, Jerry Guillaume. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Jerry grew up with virtually no career opportunities in a country he loved but could not prosper in. In 2018, Jerry left his family and home to attend Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington, and pursue a degree in business. It was there that he met his wife and married her two years later.
They relocated during the pandemic to Seattle, Washington and have resided there ever since. In 2021, Jerry and his wife learned they were expecting a baby girl, which inspired him to quit his current job and start a business of his own. Originally founded as Sponge Buddy Detail, Authority Car Care has become Jerry's number 2 pride and joy (coming after his beautiful daughter).
Jerry chose a car detailing business because of his vigorous attention to detail and affection for a clean, tidy space. For Jerry, there is nothing like a deep cleaning or reorganization to boost his mental health and clarity, especially regarding a messy vehicle. And this was a service he could provide for others as well. Before beginning the business, Jerry immersed himself in research. What were the best chemicals? Most effective cleaning techniques? What are customers looking for from a detailing service? Sponge Buddy Detail, now Authority Car Care Care, has maintained the same level of care since the beginning. Staying up to date on the best products and services they can offer. Over time, Authority Car Care has expanded from basic detailing to offering services such as ceramic coatings, paint correction, paint chip repair, window tinting, headlight restoration, and other services. Prioritizing attention to detail and customer satisfaction we want to ensure that your vehicle (likely one of your most expensive purchases) and you, our customer, are treated with the utmost care.
